Abstract

An attempt has been made to assess the efficiency of the present day kilns used in this country and compare them with the results obtained elsewhere. The firing operation amounts to 15-25 of production cost depending upon the type of ware produced and the firing facility. Any improvement in this regard will amount to a national saving. This is of great importance in view of the global energy crisis. © 1979 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
