Abstract

Complexes of Cr-III, Co-III, Al-III and Bi-III with pyrazine-2-carboxylic acid along with some of their picolinates have been synthesized. The ligands are bidentate coordinating through a heterocyclic ring nitrogen and a carboxyl oxygen. A single crystal X-ray analysis on Cr(Pz-2-COO)(3) reveals the structure as highly distorted octahedral, Cr sitting at the center and surrounded by the bidentate ligand.
