Abstract

Harnessing solar energy is a recent attraction developed after foreseeable shortage of conventional energy sopply. Glass can play a vital role in this affair. In the present review an attempt has been made to describe in detail bow over 90 of the components of a domestic solar heating device can be made out of glass alone. Glass can be used directly in making most of these structures. The present challenge by different synthetic material industries against glass, which it faces today, could possibly be well met if glass industries engage in diversifying their products in these lines. © 1979 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
