Abstract
Polymorphous AlPO4 has been found to grow exclusively in a single phase (tridymite) over a temperature range 500-1150-degrees-C in the presence of titania (TiO2) anchored onto its surface. A solid state epitaxial type of effect has been proposed to be active in the process.
