Abstract
It is argued that current flow in granular superconductors leads to generation of current loops near the grain boundaries due to the very flow of current along the magnetic flux density gradient near grain boundary weak links. By applying Faraday's law of induction, it has been shown that longitudinal flux motion plays a prominent role in determining the behaviour of bulk high T-c superconductors in low magnetic field. Our model provides a simple explanation for many current and magnetic field limited features of granular high T-c superconductors.
