Abstract
Luminescence in the interconfigurational excitation of Pr3+ in calcium metaphosphate glass has been measured with varying concentrations of 0.1%-10% at room temperature. The emission profile shows broad band emissions at 320 nm due to 5d(1)-H-3(4) and at 620 nm due to D-1(2)-H-3(4) transitions and the radiative lifetimes are independent of concentration.
