Abstract
Conventional models such as Weibul's statistic which is widely used by engineers for failure assessment of tools mostly deal with the estimation of tool life. Failure assessments often require identification of causal factors also and their control to enhance the tool life. This paper presents a cause based on the multiple logistic regression model. The case illustrates a fabrication problem which occur frequently in ceramic industry.
