Abstract
Although the conductivity measurement on La(2)Mo(2)O(9) is well documented, the ion dynamic study is scarcely reported. Here, we report on the AC impedance measurement of La(2)Mo(2)O(9) in the light of ion dynamics. We have examined the low-temperature regime, 250 A degrees C to 500 A degrees C, i.e., basically the characteristics of low-temperature alpha form, on the basis of frequency dispersion of conductivity as well as in terms of modulus formalism. The relationship of the values of the exponential parameter, s of universal dielectric response (UDR), and the stretching exponent, beta of Kohlrausch-Williams-Watts (KWW), were evaluated from curve fitting. The temperature dependence of such parameters is checked and is interpreted for the plausible mechanism of ionic motion in the material at low temperature.
