Abstract

Felspars contain a large proportion of alkalis and it would be very useful if this alkali could be recovered by some easy method. Present investigations failed to support, however, that fusion of felspar and nepheline syenite with Fe2O3 or CaO could liberate any alkali from it after extraction with water. © 1955 Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
